The Witches' Voice is quite possibly THE best site on the web that's dedicated to educating folks about Wicca, Witchcraft,
and Paganism in general. Wren Walker, Fritz Jung, Peg Aloi, and all of those who write the articles do an excellent job and
I highly recommend this site.

The Ontario Consultants for Religious Tolerance is a fantastic group who educates the public about many different religious
beliefs and systems of ethics ("from Asatru to Zorastrianism.") They've also written excellent articles concerning
"hot topics" such as homosexuality, abortion, women in the clergy, and inter-faith marriage. I can't say enough
about these great people and their great website. Definitely check them out.

Connecting Pagans to each other through the World Wide Web since 1998. A Mystickal Grove is an excellent resource for networking,
educating the public about Paganism, exploring various Pagan websites, etc. It even has a Book of Shadows for you spell/ritual
buffs out there!

The Open Hearth Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation seeking to provide resources for Pagans of all paths.

I think that the name says it all. This on-line shop has EVERYTHING!

Whispered Prayers is an on-line shop that caters to the ritual and magickal needs of Pagans. They've a wide array of candles,
herbs, spell kits, etc. Their prices are great, too! For those of you who are looking for information on spells and
rituals, Whispered Prayers has its own Book of Shadows.

"Me and a gun/And a man on my back/But I haven't
seen Barbados/So I must get out of this..." -Tori Amos
The Rape Abuse Incest National Network was co-founded by Tori Amos due to the overwhelming response from fans after listening
to "Me and a Gun," a haunting, heartbreaking song about Amos's own rape. Speaking from personal experience, RAINN
has helped me immensely and has helped others who've dealt with this form of trauma. If you're a survivor of rape, incest,
or abuse of any kind, please check out this website and/or call the hotline number provided above.

"If this kind of insanity is allowed to
happen in America, then no American is really safe. To do nothing is to submit to this horrific slander of truth and basically
join in with the perpetrators." -Henry Rollins
Every Pagan, nay, everybody regardless of religion should read up on this case. It's proof positive that there is still religious
bigotry in a nation that is supposedly "the land of the free." The persecution of Witches continues to this very
day! I also urge you to watch "Paradise Lost," the wonderful documentary made about this case.

"They turn our brothers and sisters into mercenaries/They are turning the
planet into a cemetery/The Military and the Monetary/Use the media as intermediaries/They
are determined to keep the citizens secondary/They make so many decisions that are arbitrary." -Gil Scott Heron
Call me a little self-righteous and pretentious, but I like this page! It's self-explanitory, don't you think?

If you live in Lowell, MA or in any of its neighboring towns and you've been raped, assaulted (physically, sexually, etc.),
molested, or you're in an abusive relationship, these are the folks to get in contact with. They've a 24-hour hotline, groups
for survivors of rape/sexual abuse/domestic violence/etc, and one-on-one counseling. If you feel the need to talk to someone,
do what I did. I simply strolled into their office and said, "I need help." They're an awesome group of people and
they'll definitely help you get back on your feet after going through such traumatic experiences. You've nothing to lose if
you get in touch with them. I truly respect the work that they do and thank them for everything they've done for me. :o)

I think that the name speaks for itself, don't you think?

"How would you feel if she held you
down and raped you/Tried and tried, but she never could escape you." -Eve
Allow me to pose a question to you, my friend. Why must we live in a world in which women (young, old, rich, poor, middle-class,
black, white, Latina, American Indian, Asian, etc.) have to keep a hypervigilant eye whenever they go: to school, to work,
to the mall, or even to their own homes? We have been raped harrassed, assaulted, abused, oppressed-you name it. Throughout
the world, we are called sinful, whores, lazy, slaves, dirty, and objects. THIS MUST STOP!!! Hence, I've decided to humbly
honor the founders of V-Day. These people have envisioned a world free of violence and oppression and they've strived to
attain this goal. The fight isn't an easy one, but it's definitely worth supporting.

"I got a letter from a woman recently that said, 'until you have a uterus I wish you would keep your mouth
shut on the issue.' If I agreed with that woman and said, 'O.K., until I have a uterus I surrender, I agree to stay out of
this issue,' and all other men agreed to do the same, then we wouldn't have an issue. The people heading this are the radical
right. We're talking about middle-aged, upper-class, white men. If they get out, I'll get out." -Eddie Vedder
As much as some people will detest my adding a link for Rock 4 Choice, I feel that it is necessary to inform people about
any anti-abortion (read: anti-choice) bills that may be sneaking their way through Congress as we speak. If you don't agree
with abortion, then that's okay. I simply ask that you respect the rights of women who choose to terminate pregnancy, for
whatever their reasons are. Rock 4 Choice was founded in 1991 by the members of L7 (good band, by the way) in order
to preserve the right of women to take control of their bodies and, thus, their lives. Some artists that support this organization
have come to include Pearl Jam, Paula Cole, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine (thank you, guys!), Melissa Ethridge,
Bikini Kill, and many, many more.

"One of the things I like best about my
body (other than my bodacious behind) is my control over it. You can't have that. You just can't." -Ani DiFranco
So, the bygone days of back alley abortions are over, right? Perhaps. Unless, of course, you live in a state that requires
parental consent prior to having an abortion or you lack the financial capability to afford having an abortion in a sanitary
environment because of the lack of federal money given to women's health clinics. Don't forget that some folks in our government
yearn for the day when Roe v. Wade will be reversed. Of course, we CAN stop this before it happens. Not only will you help
preserve a woman's right to choose whether or not to terminate her pregnancy; you will also save lives in the process. Back
alley abortions were (and still are) notorious for their unsanitary environments, filthy "surgical" instruments,
and the high risk of death during the procedure. So, write to your Senator and ask him or her to protect the Roe v. Wade
ruling. It can literally save lives.

"No! Homophobia--the worst disease/Love
how you want to love and love who you please." -Chumbawamba
I believe that the Goddess created people of various sexual orientations in order to prevent a boring world. ;o) EVERYONE,
regardless of sexual orientation, is worthy of respect, dignity, and love. The GLBT community is NOT composed of freaks, perverts,
or anything else that would make one think that non-straight people are "sinful" or just plain "weird."
If you think that you may be gay, lesbian, etc., please check out this page. It will definitely remind you that you are
not alone in this world.

Since Mao Tse-Tung's takeover of Tibet, many, many people have died for the beliefs they hold. Interestingly enough, Communism
is anti-imperialist. One wonders what Tse-Tung was thinking. Nevertheless, the people of Tibet have the unalienable right
to live their lives in peace and in dignity. Let's enable them to procure that right.

For more information on the crisis in Tibet and the story of the Panchen Lama, check out this website and the previous website.

Over 500 years ago, the lives of the indigenous peoples of Mexico were turned upside down due to European conquest. As a
result, the indigenous peoples of various tribes were-and still are-considered second-class citizens. On January 1st in 1994,
the Zapatistas came into the forefront and demanded that the people be allowed to live their lives in dignity. Racism, classism,
sexism, and neoliberalism are the culprits. You thought that NAFTA was a great idea? Think again: people work in sweatshops
in order to be paid wages far below that which could sustain anyone. The ejidos (communal lands) have soil that is not fit
for farming. Women are denied the means for birth control. So, the EZLN (Ejercito Zapatista de Liberacion Nacional) are
striving to right the wrongs that were committed so many years ago.

"Freedom? Yeah, right!" -Rage Against the
Machine
Did you know that we have a political prisoner right here in the good ol' U.S. of A? In 1975, Leonard Peltier-poet, artist,
and activist for the American Indian Movement-was charged and convicted of the murder of two FBI agents who were involved
in the shoot-out on the Jumping Bull Ranch. There has, however, been NO EVIDENCE THAT POINTS THE MR. PELTIER'S INVOLVEMENT
IN THE MURDERS! The judges who presided over this federal court case now admit that they do not know who really killed those
two agents! The FBI has protested any possibilty for the freedom of Leonard Peltier. Talk about a group of pathological liars!
Please write check out the resources on this website and help free Leonard Peltier.

"My Panther, my brother/We are at war until you're
free/You'll never silence the voice of the voiceless." -Rage Against the Machine
In 1981, an Afrikan-American man by the name of Mumia Abu-Jamal was sentenced to death by lethal injection by the murder of
police officer Daniel Faulkner. Of course, the one thing that was used against Mumia (aside from his race) was the fact that
he was a member of the Black Panther Party. We all know how the media prtrayed the Black Panthers: violent, thoughless, racist
radicals. Did you know that they educated the people and had free breakfast programs for children? Due to his connections
with this group, Mumia was under survaillance by the FBI's favorite child: COINTELPRO (COunter INTELligence PROgram.) After
be stalked by the U.S. government, Mumia was near the shooting of Officer Faulkner. To make a long story short, Mumia was
tried and convicted of the murder. This is strange since there was no evidence that the bullet that killed Faulkner came
from Mumia's gun. The forensics team did not test for gunpowder on Mumia fingers or gun. So, there was no evidence that
he committed this crime. In fact, witnesses said that they witness a man running from the scene. Mumia could not have done
this because he was shot too! So, I suggest checking out this website for more details on this case.

"Get up, stand up/Stand up for your rights."
-Bob Marley
The Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan is an organization working to bring about social change in
Afghanistan. Under the rule of the Taliban (which was put into power by the U.S. government in order to overthrow the
existing Soviet government), women have been denied basic human rights such as the ability to attend school, to become employed,
to hold political office, etc. R.A.W.A.'s goal involves establishing said human rights for Afghani women. Please
support their work.

What is capital punishment? It's state-mandated murder. End of story.

Amnesty International: Always a great organization to support, especially in light of recent events.
No-To-Pro
My dear friend, Alicia Dunham, decided to address the issue concerning the rise of websites that support eating disorders.
"Pro-ana" sites promote disorders that offer men and women a false sense of control over their lives: "I control what I eat
and what I don't and, thus, have control over my life." This is a very sad mindset to have. While I agree that
webmasters and webmistresses are entitled to posting their opinions on the information superhighway-no matter how odious and
irresponsible the opinion may be-I believe that we should counter these beliefs with information. Eating disorders are
very, very dangerous, folks. The pro-ana people need to face facts and understand that they are endangering
the lives of young people by promoting eating disorders.
